Pricing Manager
• Must be an industry expert in the area of telco pricing, with a specific expertise on postpaid voice, SMS and particularly DATA.
• Strong knowledge of pricing best practices and business modelling that translate into commercial value for the business.
• Must have the ability to build a resource centre and centre of excellence in the area of mobile pricing best practices.
• Proven experience in product management or business planning and analysis in a telco/mobile operation, with a specific focus on pricing.
• Good knowledge of the sales and marketing operations and related strategies in a highly competitive market environment and in-depth knowledge in building a business case for pricing and promotional campaigns.
• Fluent in Dutch and English. French is also a plus
• Able to demonstrate excellent team player traits with a proactive mind-set
• Excellent analytical & presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence and foster a cooperative work environment amongst the various divisions of telenet
• Mature ability to work collaboratively with management teams throughout the organization and to be seen as a valuable expert resource to be sought out.
The Pricing Manager will be an industry specialist with specific experience in a mobile telecom operator in the area of pricing and business modelling so that, profitability, Customer Lifetime Value and cost effectiveness of our Mobile Business are maximized.
• Assist with the development of mobile pricing that will drive better overall revenues, margins and market share in the long run.
• Assist with the development of business modelling for different pricing scenarios and their impacts on margin, profit, competition, revenues and market share for both acquisition and the existing customer base (migrations).
• Assist the Mobile team in establishing best practices for the Group in the area of pricing development, pricing research, pricing plans, packaging and pricing related communication strategies.
• Provide input on methods to push the barriers and drive creative ways of pricing, bundling and packaging that are more effective than currently deployed in the markets.
• Methodically collect competitive market analysis and performance measurements, develop alternative responses, and make appropriate recommendations to preserve and expand products market position.
• Define quantitative & qualitative processes for periodic fundamental marketing research of diverse products and services.
• Assist with identifying and creating new potential business opportunity; screen market situation, economic, technical, financial and operational feasibility of ideas; develop business case analysis and work closely with sales, marketing, technical, finance and CRM, to implement approved plans and thus to expand customer base, product’s market share and ultimately meet revenue objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate the results of pricing strategies deployed in various markets and provide input on relevant recommendations and effective solutions so that the overall Mobile business plan and KPIs are achieved
• As Telenet operates as an MVNO and purchases capacity from a partner MNO, the pricing manager will be directly responsible for optimising the cost structure of Telenet, as well as taking into account the cost structure in designing and conceiving market leading price plans for customer acquisition and retention
